"Chifeletti""Chifeletti" are a typical side dish with fried half-moon shapes made of a mixture of boiled potatoes, flour, butter and eggs. Generally served hot with juicy roast meat. "Patate in tecia" Generally served with “gulash” or other meat dishes. Potatoes are sliced and cooked in fried onion and broth. Once cooked, salt and pepper are added and the potatoes are mashed into a uniform mixture with the other ingredients. "Liptauer" Hungarian cheese spread. This is a cheese-flavoured spread used at any time of the day, including snacks. In the second half of the 19th century, it was made with Bryndza cheese, subsequently replaced with “ricotta” or other soft cheese in the 20th century. |
